Friday looses its appeal when one works the next day. Oh well....it's still Friday and it's nice to see the end of a long week, and see all the smiling faces on those that do not work the next day. This particular Friday was nothing for the record books. Just your typical Friday. But a typical Friday can hold many great joys. Simplicity....no drama is quite understated. I myself think it is ridonkulously fantabulous! This typical Friday I need to thank friends whom bring wine and good conversation, one whom I am so glad to see with a smile on her face and a 'glow' that is so wonderful to see and well deserved. I thank the rain for helping everything grow, chocolate chips, value paks that are cheap and help send girls to self esteem camps (yeah Dove!), good strong coffee, and the man who makes me feel like the luckiest woman alive!

It's in the little moments.....
I saw a blue-jay in my tree today! It had a big chunk of bread in it's mouth. It made me happy ALL day! Other happy moments you ask? Well...I got the bestest love letter ever which made a few happy tears slide down my cheek, I snuggled with my girl AND got a smile first thing in the morning which NEVER happens, played catch-up with some friends I haven't seen since I've become a budget conscience recluse, managed to not look half bad in yellow, and another major life issue is on it's way to getting solved because someone finally listened (or saw the look of desperation in my eyes!) and came to my rescue. Boooyah!!!

And today's presentation is brought to you by the sound of....
"See how nature - trees, flowers, grass,- grows in silence. See the stars, the moon, and the sun, how they move in silence. We need silence to be able to touch souls." ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta
Tuesdays are a nice day for reflections. I am glad Tuesday's here for that. I'm also glad I finally found a use for Tuesdays. That's cool. Tuesday ain't so bad when they come with a big springtime nearly-full moon, winking at you from behind a tree, with the birds singing their bedtime song. I'm glad I went for a big, long walk with Tony, cough medicine for helping my girls flu, stolen moments and surprise printouts, vehicles with personality, flowers in bloom, pink toenails, and lipbalm.

Just another Manic Monday
Today was a total MONDAY! Except for having the day off...it sure started just like the jack ass it be. Ugh... I wanted to dance with Monday, instead we fought. But these kinds of days are the kind that we really have to fight to stay focused, and remind ourselves that even in the moments we aren't feeling very gratuitous, that's exactly where that kind of attitude is most needed. So...thank you for Monday off, Banana Bread Bear Paws, the wheels that are now a turning, imaginations and big ideas, sleeping dogs, relaxation music, to 'my calm' for keeping me calm and reminding me to keep trying, the Dad who was one today, good-bye letters, and forgiveness for making you stronger. And parent's. I thank you for all your hard work, each and everyday.

Saturdaying
Saturdaying (sat-er-dey-ing)~ The act of having fun doing nothing on the seventh day of the week, following Friday
I enjoy Saturdaying alot. I enjoy garage saleing and finding new things that make smiles. I am grateful for others peoples junk, becoming my treasure essentially. I am also quite stoked about Thermos's of coffee, Russian gangs, quaint lil restaurants, sandwiches which are both beautiful and fine, red wine and fantastic greek pizza as well as creativity. Most of all I am thankful that my premonition of cruising down the street on a fun, shiny purple bike, with the wind in my hair came true!!! I am hitting the streets hard! Thank You to my Faja, "The Wizard"

Skukriya
That's how you say thank you in Hindu. I'm thank-ful for Google for that one. I'm thankful for second rate erasers, raising a male dog, Sushi and movie dates, fidgeting, zen breathing, that the countdown to avatar release date is on, spring weather, and allergy meds that doesn't make you feel funny, 420 celebrations, pillows to pound frustrations out on, and cuddles.

Dankie
I got here as quickly as I could. I was busy, busy with family although I certainly didn't forget to be thank-ful! So in the past two days, I have this to be grateful for in no particular order:
Hand-me down clothing (especially pink princessy dresses), cheap and delish pizza of the greek kind, baby nephew kisses and dancing neices, belly dancing sarongs, coffee, red wine, Dad, SISTER's, birthdays, watermelon and cake, quaint shops with all kinds of interesting things, and smells, dog sitters, swifters, warm weather, pennies, new perfume and incense, and falling asleep nestled in his arms.

Merci Buckets
Today was a strange animal indeed..but many lessons learned: I thank all those whom formed a search party for Tony the Shitzu whilst he was on his excellent adventure, the kind pet lover whom took him in for the day, and bought him a ginormous Marrow Bone. Thank -ful for family of all varieties, the people of 7-eleven, flowers in your hair, sunshine, holding hands, and memory lane....and did i mention family of all varieties!

Of puddles and hump days....
Today was a full day!I almost said busy..but full sounds better! It was a good, knowledgable, productive kinda day and I'm quite content. I have these things to be giving 2 thumbs up to: my boot collection in my van, as it rained cats and dogs, and then I found a pair of rubbers on the drive home and didn't have to sludge thru the mud bog in the back yard in my awesome red heels~which I'm grateful for as well, as they were my 'pop' of color today! Then I'm grateful for having a nice, pleasant dinner with my teenager, and that I only had to tell her twice to clean up her room tonight. That's an accomplishment!! And parenting group..it was informative, and thought provoking. An understanding, awesome boyfriend, sisters, brothers, saying silly things at innappropriate times and making random strangers laugh, greenER grass, puddles and hump days.
Oh and Kool-Aid Jammers!!!

Just breathe.....
Well, day 2 of grat-itude. My mom just told me my cousin who has cystic fibrosis can only breathe with 20 % of her lungs now, and is going to be put on the lung transplant list. She is amazing you lady who is beautiful inside and out, and I will be doing anything I can to keep her here! Keep fighting babe...we all love you so much!
So with that being said, today Iam grateful for BREATH! That I quit smoking. I am also thankful for my love, whose talent made the new header here on Grat-itude for me today. As well as packing tape for all it does to assist me in a day! Also clip art, rain, thunder and organization.

Mission Possible
My life has been a series of 'whammies'. At least it feels that way sometimes. By whammies I refer to the way in which I seem to have chosen to learn thus far. The 'HARD WAY,' some call it. 'School of Hard Knocks,' others refer to it as. "Whammies' sounds funny to me. Without getting into a daytime soap opera-ish melodrama, let's just say the path less traveled, has been the one I choose most often.
But when ever I get smacked across the face, I fight back like a ninja. With my mind. By somehow looking through the whammy to find the reason. The 'good' in the situation. My self-help research has suggested it, and based on this scientific knowledge= not all those people could be wrong. They say write down everyday in a "Gratitude Journal' what you are thank-ful for that particular day. Somedays I'm just happy to be breathing. Thankful that shit is finally over?! Somedays go down like that when we're human! It seemed like a waste of paper, even for a paper hoarder like myself, yet still a fantastic idea. So i began trying it more and more in my head most nights...and low and behold it works. Why not share the good vibes! Maybe you'll even see your name here! So today, Monday April 12 at 1:29 pm Manitoba time, I am gonna start a project. With all the filth in this world, it helps to keep our attitudes ones of grat-itude. Cheese! Ladies, and gentlemen I hereby give to you:
Operation Grat-itude: Everyday for 1 year beginning now, I will come to this blog, and share with you my personal list of things that were awesome and great about to today. Feel free to take part in your own way! THANK-YOU!
Today, I am grateful for: The day off!!, full fat yogurt (yummy!) crossing things off to-do lists, boyfriend kisses, cute puppies, sunshine, small on-hold time at the cell bill company, and a credit on my bill so it wasn't as bad as I thought and whew! And nice cust. service too!
To Mom:~ being able to return a small favor even though I owe you a so much more~
